Lelewal also carries out awareness programs on education particularly adult literacy for indigenous leaders who cannot read nor write. The organization has supported around twenty indigenous leaders in getting basic education. The organization has been supporting indigenous “Mbororo” and Baka children particularly the girl child in primary schools, by distributing school materials at the beginning of every school year and also paying school fees for some of them.
Despite the increasing demand for assistance by vulnerable children of indigenous peoples, the organization was able to support One hundred and fifty of them since 2015. The reason being the vast scope of work and limited resources making it difficult for the organization to satisfy all demands. The organization intends to continue this activity in its future programs and wishes to reach out to more children.
